Gutsy, audacious and probably a bit nutty – that’s what Chinese Chery cars are. They are mainland-made sports vehicles, sedans, and sporty coupes. Their bestsellers’ design strongly remind us of the QQ minicars (by GM). Chery has closed the quality gap and built a base of non-expensive suppliers, which allowed the company to manufacture the low-cost cars – no matter that, the vehicles good quality can’t be denied. Local production capacity is 3 million cars per year. In the future, Chery Automobile Corporation will probably follow the example of the Japanese and Koreans car manufacturers.
